CHAPTER THIRTEEN

"Draco, can i talk to you..."
"No"
"Please!"
"No!" Draco said, as harshly as he could as he stormed away from her. She jogged behind him, a little out ofr breath. They had just come out of Herbology, so that rays of sun beamed down on them from behind the thick clouds. There feet threged through the grass. Hermione stopped, dropping her heavy bag on the floor, Draco carried on walking at a fast pace.

"I know what you did for me" She called to him, he hestitated before turning round. He began to walk slowly towards her.

"I did nothing for you, Mudblood" He spat at her, he could see Harry and Ron jogging towards them in the distance. His heart broke, he loved her, but he had
to end it, for her sake.

"That wont work on me Draco.." She took a step forward, "I heard what you and Pansy said a few weekes ago..it took us ages but finially we all figured it out"
At this Harry and Ron finally stopped right behind Her, they both looked at him.

"Figured out what? There's nothing to figure out!" He cried turning around to walk away. He didn't know who but someone shuffled forward and grabbed his arm.

"Hey mate, listen to her" Great Weasel! He thought yanking his arm away from him and turned around again. He grinded his teeth together.

"We know what Pansy is doing to you, you dont have to listen to her. I can take care of myself"

Draco closed his eyes and breathed, "I dont know where you've been getting your information from, but its not true. Now leave me alone!" He opened his eyes and turned to go.

"Malfoy, Wait!" He heard Harry call. He whipped out his wand and span around.

"If anyone else tries to stop me from leaving i will hex them" He spat at them, striding away. He could feel there eyes on the back of his head.

Hermione sighed, they had try'd. But she wouldn't give up. They were sitting in the Gryffindor common room. The fire blazed infront of them. Harry and Ron sat either side of her, both looking at her with concern on their faces.

"Look 'Mione we tried. He just doesnt like you anymore" Ron said for the uptenth time that night. I was the night before they all left to go home. Their exams done, their bags packed. The feast had ended hours before, leaving them th only students still awake. Harry yawned.

"Hermione, Just leave it, He's not worth your tears" She looked at him, how had he known she'd been crying over him? "I talked to Lavender, she told me you
cry in your sleep" He told her quizzenly look. She stared back into the flames of the fire. Harry sighed, leaning don he peeked her cheek.

"You coming man?" He asked Ron, heading towards the stairs to the dormintry. Ron looked at Hermione again. "Yeah" He said not taking his eyes off her. He too kissed her cheek and made his way after Harry.

"Hermione get some sleep, you'll need it" Ron said from the stairs, before dissappearing.

She sighed, a few tears falling down her cheek, where her best friends had kissed her. She whipped them away, leaning her head on the side of the sofa, bringing her leags up so she was lieing down. She never took her eyes off the fire, it's warmth, it's colour. She too yawned, covering her mouth with her hand. She closed her eyes, to rest them before making her way to her dormintory. The last them she remembered thinking was that she'd talk to Draco tomorrow, no question's asked!

"Hermione, Wake up. The trains leaving soon" She heard someone say, proding her awake. The voice sounded far away. The proding came again, this time harder. She opened her eyes to see Ron leaning over her. They were in the common room, students filing out with luggage. She sat up, streaching.

"What time is it?" She asked tiredly,

"Almost ten, Hermione why didnt you go sleep in your bed?" Harry asked. She hadn't seen him before he had spoke up

She stood up, looking around. She could see Harry, and Ron's luggage behind them, she also saw her own luggage. She looked at Ron cunfused.

"I asked Lavender to bring it down for you" He told her, going sligthly red. She smiled, "Thanks Ron" Grabbing her luggage she made her way towards the
porthole.

"Are you both going to stay here all summer?" She asked without looking around, smiling. She felt hungry, she had missed breakfast, but glad she had some snacks in luggage.

Twenty mintues later she stood on the platform, her luggage already on the train. Harry and Ron were both sitting on the train already. She looked around for him again before sighing. She wasnt going to see him.

"Hermione" She heard him say quitely behind her. She whipped around and hugged him, he pulled her close.

"I love you" He whispered in her ear.

Pulling back she looked him in the eye, "Why did you pretend? You knew that i was right" Draco was silent for a moment

"Because i couldn't bare to see you hurt"

"Who would hurt me? I can fend for myself" He said nothing but stared at the ground. "Draco please"

He looked her in the eye, "She was right, it would never work"

"Who? Tell me!" She cried

"Us, Hermione, it would never happen. Pansy was right. I Love You Hermione. But us..." He cried back. His eyes swarming with tears.

"Draco please, dont" Hermione whispered, pulling him close. He hugged her for a moment before pulling away.

"Im sorry" He simply said, kissing her once on the forehead and pulled away. With one last looked he turned and made his way towards the train, not looking back. Hermione followed him with her eyes.

"I Love you too" She whispered after him, Tears streaming down her face.

Sorry guys, i had to end the story due to exams, but i couldnt bare leaving it not finished...so.. i finished it. Im not sure about this chapter though. Hope its alright. ;/
