Chapter 17

The ball had started.

I could tell seeming as the loud music of the Weird Sisters echoed throughout the hallways and rooms. I straightened out my red satin dress and fixed my extraordinary detailed mask. I took a deep breath in and out and walked downstairs into the Head's Common Room. There sitting on the couch was Draco Malfoy.

"Hmm you look nice Zabini." Draco said raising an eyebrow at me.

I rolled my eyes. Was that a compliment?

"Thanks Malfoy." I snapped.

"Hey, no need for rudeness tonight." Draco said walking over to me.

I sighed. "Why not? Aren't you going with Pansy? I think she'll put the rudeness back into you if you go nice all of a sudden." I said. "Anyways where is Blaise?"

Draco narrowed his eyes at me in anger but looked up at Blaise's door. "In his room still. To think I actually thought girls took longer."

"Is that a joke?" I said angered by him.

"Why yes it was Zabini." He said smirking.

I whipped away from him and started towards the door. Right before I walked out of the portrait hole, Draco's voice entered my senses.

"You look beautiful tonight, Hannah. Hope to dance with you at the ball." Draco said, of course smirking.

I swallowed and walked out searching for Ron.
