9. Defence Against the Dark Arts

Lupin seemed like an interesting guy, and his lessons were cool. Fred believed that was true, completely and absolutely, which was why he’d stayed behind after that first lesson to speak to him.

“Sir?” Fred said tentatively, and Lupin turned in surprise. He knew this was one of the twins… and from what he’d heard, neither of them was the sort to stay after class.

“Yes… Weasley?”

“I’m Fred. I just wanted to say… I’m totally looking forward to DADA.”

He grinned and left, and the interaction was never spoken of again.

Fred had a reputation to uphold, after all.
