35. Pureblood
As first years, the twins learnt to stick up for each other. They were blood traitors, and unliked by the ‘pureblood’ community (you only called it pure if you thought it was superior). Nobody messed with the twins when they were together, but one day, Fred found himself jostled away from George in the corridor.
And found himself amidst Slytherins.
After a series of name calling jeers, Fred was faced with the Slytherin prefect, who sneered at him.
“You’re no pureblood.”
“I’d be ashamed if I was,” Fred spat, then stomped on the boy’s foot.
And hightailed it outta there.
