It was to find his twin already gone that was the biggest surprise for Fred when he woke up in the morning. They were usually syncronized in every move they made, and yet he was already up, dressed, and long gone. Well, that limited his possibilities already. It felt rather odd to go through the morning routine without a doppelganger to argue with, but still he was soon leaving the dormitory, then the Common Room, and wondering where he should go. Perhaps he should go see Katie in the Infirmary? That was a decent idea...
So, with a certain hop missing in his step - no Weasley took well to being abandoned, even the prick of a weasel, Percy - he trudged down to the ground floor and veered off from the Great Hall, which seemed to be calling to him, till he reached the lair of Madame Pomfrey. There, crowded neatly around one bed, were three others. The tallest, Oliver, not undermining some Slytherin that had been with Katie before, and then, to his happy surprise, the lithe figure that was Alicia. Well, at least he found someone to pester....
