I have mixed feelings about Harry not being there. But I love the Ron and Hermione relationship so much, I think it's good they have their time alone. So I guess this change is good

I'm glad that Bill's wedding seems close to the book. I just wonder why they don't at least mention his engagement with Fleur in HBP - that way it'd be easier to introduce him in DH..
