I have to say that I totally agree with you both. HBP is my favourite book so while I'm excited about going to see the film, it is mainly because I'm going with friends I don't get to see very often. Kloves may not be great at defending his adaptations, but he is infinately preferable to Goldenberg who seemly to simply scrape the surface details off OOTP, threw in some cringworthy mistakes (joining the Inquisitorial Squad for extra credit? In Britian??) and further mashed the 'minor' characters, leaving Ginny in particular with nothing to say.

The trick perhaps is to try and view the films as an interpretation of the books, as they are never going to match up.
