GoF Quidditch World Cup filming locations?

A Leaky Cauldron reader, Stacey, wrote of news of possible filming locations for scenes from the Quidditch World Cup in the Goblet of Fire film.

According to her newspaper (the article is not yet online - I'll update when it is), the scenes would be filmed near St. Bede's School in Eastbourne, near the seafront. Filming is scheduled to start in the autumn for one week.

The BBC has also reported this news, making it all the more reliable.

A newspaper report says a cliff top site, near Beachy Head, is the first choice for Warner Brothers - location managers for The Goblet of Fire.

Eastbourne council denied the report, but said the company scouted the area and also three West Country locations.

A spokesman for the film company said locations were never confirmed until definite arrangements had been made.

Beachy Head is mentioned by the BBC as a possibility too.

The area in mention is in the very southern parts of England; the Beachy Head website even mentions that the Isle of Wight can sometimes be seen from the coast.

Here are some pictures of the area;
