You can ask your readers for suggestions, or you can do a duel fic with a buddy, but at this time we don't have any rules in place or whatnot for a collaborative fic. This is something we'll talk about in the near future, however, so keep your eyes peeled.

Welcome! As soon as you hit 10 posts and can leave the Newbie hut, you are free to come and post a fic. Just make sure you've read all the rules first!

1. i just wanted to know that is it ok if i post my fic under Mature Fanfic area coz i dont know what to rate it as. though the beginning of the fic may not have any adult themes or Sa 16+ themes but maybe as the story proceeds there might be something mature in it. so is it ok to be on a safer side and post it there or will it be shifted to Sa 13+?
2. how will i know that my fic has been validated?
3. will all the chapters or the posts which i will add in the fic be validated regularly or only the first post will be validated?
my other question is that can i ask for suggestions from my readers regarding few things and incorporate them in my fic? for eg: regarding some place in Britain, France etc. as i am not from these places.
i am waiting for your reply... :-)
Wow, you are ready to go, aren't you? Lots of questions. Let me answer these one by one.
1. It's better to be safer, so the Sa16+ forum is probably best. Again, familiarize yourself with the rules. These are more mature fics, not adult themes necessarily. When in doubt, PM an FF mod or myself for our thoughts.
2. When it's been validated, it will be visible in the forum you submitted it to. If it's been a few days, it probably has not and you need to look the rules over again to be sure you followed the rules.
3. Only the first post requires validation, although the mods do read your new posts just to see how things are going.
And as for the last question, you are welcome to request input from your readers. Several writers do that, and they incorporate it at the end of a previous post. Try not to clutter your thread with spam.
