I liked Lupin in the movie, I thought he was a really good actor and did a great job of capturing the emotional aspects of the role. However, I have to admit that I did not read POA until after I had seen the movie, that might have something to do with it. I had no previous idea of what Lupin might look like until I saw him on screen. And I must agree that Aragorn and Sam were very different from what was in the LoTR books. Aragorn in my opinion was much better, less arrogant. Sam was supposed to be younger than Frodo, but Sean Astin did a really good job.
