Tourism bosses hope Harry potter can work his magic on holidaymakers coming to Scotland.
visitscotland have had enormous interest from Hogwarts fans around the world who want to visit the locations used in the three blockbuster films.

So they’ve introduced a travel package especially for them.

Pottering Around Scotland includes a trip on the Jacobite steam train along the West Highland Line. The Hogwarts Express is seen crossing the Glennfinnan Viaduct in the first film and Ron and Harry’s flying car chases the train in The Chamber Of Secrets.

There is also a trip to Glencoe, where footage for the latest movie was shot.
But it is hopped the five-night tour will entice fans to come to Scotland to visit some of our other well-known sites, too.
As well as following in the footsteps of Hagrid and Harry, visitors on the tour will visit Edinburgh and Loch Ness, And tourism officials hope the packages will be snapped up as fast as a Golden Snitch.

A spokeswoman for visitscotland said, “We get a lot of inquires from Harry potter Fans asking about where the locations are.
Now people can visit them, as well as Edinburgh, where JK Rowling wrote the early books.”
Tourism bosses see the use of Scotland for filming as an important part of attracting visitors and hope it’s something they can build on.

The spokeswoman added, “There’s an expectation that as more Harry potter films and books are launched it will provide us with more opportunities, if Scotland is used for filming in the future, of course.”
