Nah, I'm just kidding P... not everyone is a big enough loser to remember that this is the day a fictional character is born.

I bet we'll find more about S.P.E.W. in the next book... but it wasn't that important to the plot of the 5th. With all that's going on with the Order now, Hermione most likely just doesn't find it that important.
