Someone's clock was ticking, and the sound was certainly annoying. Oh, how much she wanted to be back in the Archives room. She still couldn't understand how could the Editor's offices didn't have any sort of charm to prevent them from listening the outside.
Simple answer. They wanted to know everything.
Still, though, silence was precious. Especially when combined with the ocean or a river, or anything water related. Oops. Ian was talking, and she wasn't paying much attention to his words. Except. Incentive. Oh, no no no no no no. As much as Sienna thought greatly of Ian, he was NOT going to get the camera for himself.
This task wasn't nearly as difficult, but Sienna still needed that article done. "Oh, sweetheart, incentive enough will be me speaking nicely of you to the Editors" she said, not as a threat, well, it could be considered as a threat if he was thinking of getting the camera. Which, of course, he wasn't, right?
But then it hit her, Ian was asking for the camera. Perfect timing for her to be mentioning such a thing. Sigh. "A good incentive will also be getting your work done, and not taking a break in the middle of the day" like he tried to do, earlier on. "But, what am I talking about? Actually, what are you talking about, Ian? You? An incentive? You don't need that...you'll make things perfect whether you gain something or not" she said, an eyebrow raised but her smile still sweet enough.
"You may borrow the camera for an hour, though...whenever you want" and there will a charm on it to prevent him from stealing it. |
