I actually think that most people have a mixture of the various traits from the different houses- Ravenclaw- intellectual, Hufflepuff-faithful/loyal, Gryffs-brave and Slytherin-cunning and/or ambitious. As I am a post grad student I have a touch of Ravenclaw in me 
I enjoyed the final book as we were shown a different 'softer' side of Malfoy who was terrified by Voldemort and the true motivations behind Snape's desire to help the good side.
