54. Dare
Charlie burst into the common room and skidded to a halt in front of the fireplace. “They’re here;” he gasped, “the dragons for the First Task! Come on!” and raced back out. His friend followed him through the Forbidden Forest, until the reached the dragon pens. Fire streaked into the night sky. Any flames were promptly extinguished by several wizards.
“I dare you to go in.” one said. Charlie nodded and crept forward. He used his wand to unlock a door to a pen. The dragon inside amazed and frightened him. He was lucky to come out unscathed, but wow!

Charlie takes a crazy dare. But on the plus side he's not dead, and he got a close up with a dragon.
