CBBC Newsround, Yahoo!, TLC and one of their readers have all reported on the ceremony, which took place today in Edinburgh at 3:15pm. Amongst the many articles are many new pictures of the author.

Over at CBBC Newsround there is one picture of JK, holding her degree. If you click here (right click save target as...) you can hear the story. To watch the clip from today's Newsround show, which reported live bits from Edinburgh, click here and do the same as with the audio clip.

Here are some quotes from that article:

She even gave this small hint concerning the next two Harry Potter books!

Quote:
Speaking straight after the ceremony, JK gave a little hint about what might happen in the last book. She was asked if Harry would graduate in Book VII . She paused before replying: "If I answer that I give quite a lot away, so I'm not going to!"*

Quote:
Professor Pamela Munn said: "For example, Professor Lupin is a very effective teacher of Defence Against the Dark Arts because he motivates his pupils by allowing them to experiment thus forging a link between theory and practice."
Quote:
JK has received several awards in the past, including an honorary degree from St. Andrews University in Scotland, and an OBE.
TLC reader, Alan, has sent in these two following pictures of her. Thanks goes to him for these!

The Scotsman has also run a lengthy feature on the event, here are some snippets from it.

Quote:
Asked if she fancied going to celebrate with the students, she replied: “I would really like to.”
She also states that HBP, the next Harry Potter book, is going really well:

Quote:
And pressed on her new book and whether Harry would one day graduate, she said: “The book is going really well. And if I answer that it would give quite a lot away, so I’m not going to, sorry.”
Quote:
Prof Munn drew laughter from the crowd and a smile from Ms Rowling by suggesting that she could detect some of the writer’s teacher training past in her novels, with themes such as bullying, friendship and the role of teachers.
