September 1, 2065: on the train
Initially, I started in the back of the train when I found a compartment that wasn’t too overloaded. It was just two fellow quill journalists (Callie and Aiden), Sabrina, and myself… odd; as far as I know it was also one from each house in that compartment and we each had a different animal with us. But then some boy came in and started talking to Sabrina, but he ignored Callie and was completely rude to me. He wouldn’t even tell me his name, but he looked to be a young boy of around 13 or 14 – probably Gryffindor or Slytherin. Then more people came in, including Garret, but when I offered him a spot on my lap he seemed offended and left. I didn’t mean anything bad by the offer, but just wanted to be nice – he was so small and I doubt I would have noticed the weight of him. Just as well, since I was getting bored of the crowdedness and decided to go back to the front – where I usually sit.

It was at the front of the train though where it all happened so quickly. Looking in each compartment, I vaguely remember seeing handholding. Now I’m not one to be picky of handholding, however when it is your ex-boyfriend involved, then I got a little lightheaded. Enough to make me FAINT! Thank goodness Cale Thornton was nearby and actually had enough sense to do something – including giving me mouth-to-mouth. I knew there was a reason to my meeting him in Diagon Alley. But for some strange reason, Tancred thought it was more than just a saving kiss… yea that’s right, it was at that moment HE kissed the girl, who I recognized at Hufflepuff Lindsey Hamilton. Pretty girl, but still, it was my ex-boyfriend who she kissed back. That was it – I really gave him a piece of my mind and walked out, furious with him.

Another girl who had been in that compartment, Elodie, who was also a Hufflepuff felt bad for me and followed me out. We talked a little and she seemed nice enough, but quiet too. Thankfully the next compartment was better suited with Savannah and a couple others there. Not that I was anxious for Savannah or the others to find out about my captain badge yet, but it was better than seeing my ex kissing another girl. Making myself comfortable and catching up with some girls, including Ariana Castior, a sixth year Ravenclaw, suddenly the topic came up. When Alexis pulled out her captain’s badge; that’s right Alexis was the new Gryffindor Captain. Not only did we share a birthday, our height, but also now we now shared the title of Quidditch Captain!

Anyway, the train has stopped and it’s time to leave and head off to the feasts… I’m quite starved, actually. But I will write tomorrow after the feast and getting some rest.
