#87- Plaid

Ginny opened the parcel lying on her bed. It was an early Christmas gift from her mother. Being at Hogwarts usually meant a sweater for her brothers, so she was anxious to see what had been sent for her. Her excitement faded, however, as she pulled a knitted, bright green-and-red, plaid skirt from the package along with some fudge.

Skeptically, Ginny stood before the mirror, modeling her new gift, thankful that no one else was in the dormitory. Finally, she decided to wear the skirt Christmas day as to not feel guilty for her mother's hard work.

Christmas morning, Ginny walked to her table for breakfast in her new plaid skirt, which stuck out as much as hair. She thought she heard Malfoy say her name and several snickers from his fellow Slytherins, including Pansy Parkinson as she passed by. Her face tuned red, matching her conspicuous hair and skirt.
