Well, I don't feel like quoting guys, I'm sorry, but it's super late and I'm pretty tired. I'll quote next time! But I'll reply anyway-
Jemma- Sorry, but she's gonna make Scorpius suffer anyway!
Jade- Glad to see ya like it! And thanks for the comments!
Charlie- Hope it's okay if I call you that! I love having new readers! And I completely agree with you!

So after not posting in forever, here's the next post!

Chapter 11- No Way Out

I turned over again and sighed, glancing at the little clock next to me. It told me that it was 2 in the morning. So why couldn’t I sleep? Everyone else in my dorm- Hayley Jessica, Sabrina and Khristina- were all fast asleep (two were actually snoring). I watched as the clock flashed to show 2:01. Maybe I’ll get a drink of water, I thought. I got up and quietly pulled on my dressing gown, and opened the door. Then, on an impulse, I went back to my bed and snatched up the Marauders’ Map. Making my way down, I unfolded it, and searched around the school for Scorpius’ dot. To my surprise, he was in the Slytherin Common Room. I went almost unconsciously to the portrait hole, nose still buried in the Map, and then, lifting my head, peeked out into the silent, empty corridor. Seeing that it was safe, I went out as silently as possible and made my way to the dungeons.

I woke up hours later, facing the ceiling of the dark Common Room, still shining slightly with that eerie green light. I rubbed my throbbing head, and raised it slightly. I could see that I had been sprawled on the floor, but I didn’t know for how long. Nice to know how much my sisters cared about me. I guess I blacked out after the third time they tortured me; they held it for about 7 minutes, which doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re being tortured like that, it feels more like 7 years. My arms were still prickling, and when I got up, my legs wouldn’t support me. I stumbled to a chair, and collapsed into it. My mind was cloudy and confused, but I was completely sure of one thing- I had to get to Rose. But how was I supposed to do that when I could barely stand up? I tried again, but my legs immediately gave way and I fell onto the floor. I didn’t move for about 5 minutes, and then, using anything I could find as support, I made my way out of the Common Room, trying to ignore the pain. I opened the door quietly and went up the stairs, nearly falling twice. As I reached the top, I heard the sound of footsteps to my left. Panicking, I hid behind a statue, keeping my eyes on the corridor. I couldn’t see well in the dark, but at the sound of a very familiar voice saying, “Lumos,” I walked out from behind the statue and whispered, “Rose, over here.” Rose turned towards me with a happy expression that turned to horror. “What happened to you?” she asked, hugging me tightly. I winced and gently pushed her away. “Delanna and Delancey happened. And don’t do that, it hurts.” “They found out?” she whispered, eyes wide. “Unfortunately, yes, thanks to the amazingly big mouth of Nathan Davies. That idiot must have seen us in the Entrance Hall, same as Hugo. Speaking of which, how’d things go with him?” She rolled her eyes and said, “Terrible. He told James and Albus…….. I guess should be happy that he didn’t the entire House.” “Oh. And their reaction was?” I asked hesitantly. “You guess,” said Rose. “Not good?” I replied, eyebrows raised. “You think? Anyway, what did Delanna and Delancey do to you? You look terrible; you’re all pale, you can’t even walk,” she said worriedly. “Delanna used the Cruciatus Curse on me for about 7 minutes straight,” I said, wincing at the memory. Ignoring her expression of horror, I said,” Listen, Rose, you have to make sure that you are never, ever found alone, especially not near this Common Room. If you have to go anywhere, take someone, and avoid meeting me. Will you do that?” “But- you can’t possibly mean for me- you can’t let them get away with this!” said Rose angrily. I sighed and said,” Rose, try to understand- nothing I do or say will convince my parents or the teacher that my sisters did anything illegal. Neither will anyone believe that you are in very real danger right here, every moment. Anyone in my House who has heard about this will be after you, and there is absolutely no way I will let you get hurt. Do not take risks, and don’t fool yourself into thinking that you can get past my family to get to me. Just keep yourself safe, all right? Will you do that?” I was pleading with her by this time, hoping that her quick temper would not make her refuse. Her eyes narrowed, and she looked about ready to say no. Then she shook her head and said,” Fine. But only until I can make sure that there is some way to get you away from your family-“ “NO! That’s exactly what I don’t want! Not yourself or your family! Why don’t you understand?!” I said fiercely. “If you make any crazy plans, there is no telling what will happen!” Rose looked shocked at my sudden outburst. Eyes wide, she stood frozen as I took a deep breath and said, more calmly,” Just don’t try any crazy stuff, okay? Please, Rose, no mad rescue plans. I wouldn’t be able to go on if- if something happened to you. Just say you won’t do anything.”

Feeling a little better that he had calmed down, though still a little unsure whether he would burst out again, I thought it over, biting my lip. After a minute, I said in a low voice,” Fine.” Scorpius looked relieved, and said,” Good, at least I know you’re not in danger. I’ve got to go, someone may be looking for me. I’ll see what can do, okay? Just keep safe.” “Uh-huh,” I said, as he gave me a quick hug and turned back towards the Common Room. “Scorpius?” I said, quietly. “Yeah?” he said as he turned around again. “I love you,” I said, giving a quick kiss and walking away, leaving him looking slightly stunned. As I reached the end of the corridor, I heard a whispered,” I love you too.” Don’t think it didn’t make me feel better to hear that, but it sort of made me sad too. Everything was a mess; we were in love with each other, we couldn’t go on without each other, but our families couldn’t tolerate us being together. On top of all this, even my secret meetings with Scorpius were over. As I turned a corner, I realized that I could footsteps somewhere. Turning around quickly, I drew my wand. The footsteps were coming closer; I realized they were coming from the corridor in front of me. I turned around again and prepared myself to face whoever was coming.
