Deathly Hallows has won the Berkshire Children's Book award, an honour that is voted upon by young people across the county from 33 schools. The seventh book has been bestowed the title of Good Read of the Year.

Half-Blood Prince previously won the award in 2005.

The award will be presented in the autumn at a ceremony where the 2008 Berkshire Book award will also be launched.
