I completely agree. He may have the eccentric side to Dumbledore down to the ground but he lacks the wisedom and prescence of character and being that Harris had. I also always imagined Dumbledore to sound a little worn or tired, much like the way Richard played him. I thought Gambon was brilliant, but I did prefer Richard Harris, his screen presence was warmer and more of what I imagined Dumbledore to be. But I think Gambon actually played him quite eccentric and that is how he is written. He did a great job, but yes, I missed Harris.
