What if she were to find the Cullen house? Maybe they'd kill this creature and take pity on her. Asking for help was unpleasant and demeaning, but that's what Angie had in mind as she broke into a run once more without warning.
Ignoring Hugo, she ran until her sides were killing her, hoping for some sort of sign that vampires were near. Not until she caught whiff of a sickeningly sweet scent did she crack her first smile. The house's thatched roof poked through the trees to her right. Now...the begging.

Hugo sighed. This female was harder to crack than he had thought. "If you want to be alone, why have you been calling to me for the last two weeks?" He whispered, suddenly appearing through the trees, a picture of unachievable beauty.

"That's how I found you. You called to me." His voice lingered in the air.
