Sorry for the long title. I was just wondering how much information do you find out regarding your favourite singers and bands. Do you just learn the songs? Do you learn about what role each member plays in the band? Do you learn about their history? Tell me here in this thread.

With bands that I really love I try to learn as much as I can. Take the Beatles for example. I know most of their songs off by heart. I know who wrote which song and the vocal/instrumental roles. I also know the Beatles story.

With musicans that I am not as big a fan of, I try my best to learn their songs off by heart.
