Well, I think Draco would have matured a lot faster if he'd had more stuff to deal with, and I don't think he;d have dealt with it any worse than Harry, as he wouldn't have had his parents' bad influence on him if they'd died. I think in some ways it would have been good for him to be free of Lucius, though obviously being an orphan isn't really good for anyone. I think he'd be a lot braver than he is in the books as they are, as he'd have to be otherwise he wouldn't survive. I can't imagine him being sorted into Gryffindor ever though, I think with his blood line he was just born to be a Slytherin, which of course I wouldn't want to change. So I guess it would change aspects of his personality, but there'd be parts of him which would stay the same, which I think is best otherwie he wouldn't really be Draco at all.
