Dan makes a really good point. Warner Bros. could have tied him down to HP and only HP, and it's really good that they give him some free rein. The media will always portray him as "The Potter actor" anyway, so better to be "The Potter actor doing theatre and other films" than "The Potter actor vomiting in a toilet in a nightclub".
