Kitty flipped a page and crashed into a tree branch. "Crap. Ow... ow..." She held one hand to her forhead while she crawled toward her book, which landed a few feet away. Her hand wrapped around the spine and she turned to lean against a tree. She looked at her other hand and made a face. Blood was smeared across her fingers.

"Ewwwwww." She wiped her hand on the grass and stuck it back up against her forhead. After sitting with her back against the tree for a moment, her eyes closed, she opened them again and jumped. "Er... hi." She hadn't seen anyone else up til then.
