Post Harry Potter helps Jim Dale set World Record

The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Jim Dale after he recorded the 134 voices of the characters for Rowling's fifth book, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." It is a record Dale, himself, broke this year when he recorded the last volume of the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." The last book has 146 characters so Dale had to reuse, create and record 146 voices to provide the narrative for the book. He thinks his grandchildren care more about his world record than his narration.

When he performs in public, like his recent tour, if he stumbles or misreads he can sometimes be corrected by a child who has memorized the books from his narrative.

Quote:
He considers Rowling to be a genius. "Any woman with seven stories in her head without a computer — then writes it all down with a pencil — is remarkable."
