Dan Radcliffe today attended the Melbourne premiere of
December Boys in Australia. Pictures of him on the red carpet with his cast mates can now be seen in our galleries
here.
Reportedly fans were crushed trying to get a glimpse of the star. Children had to be "plucked" to safety as "hundreds" of girls screamed - one female passed out before he even arrived!

The star appeared shocked by the attention.
"Oh my God. Yes, it's a little bit overwhelming," he told AAP.
Asked if he was expecting the turnout, he said: "No, to be honest, I wasn't.
"This is big. This is bigger than I imagined it was going to be, so it's kind of incredible for me."
UPDATE: Asked what one does to prepare themselves for events such as this, Dan
said;
Quote:
"To be honest, nothing ever prepares you for stuff like this, because every time you get out of the car and you hear that scream, it always takes you by surprise. The best piece of advice that I've got I think is probably from my dad. He always says that when you meet someone you gotta shake their hand and you should get your hand out first. I think that's probably the best piece of advice I've ever been given."
UPDATE #2: LA Times has a video of Dan at the premiere
