"I know... Why do you think I care?"

Sirius gave me an odd look, and replied, "I don't know." He looked over at the fire, deciding to avoid my gaze.

I blinked, extremely confused. Was he flustered? If he was, this is was very rare for Sirius to be.

"Sirius?" I asked, putting my hand on his arm.

"Yeah?" he answered, not bothering to look at me.

"Sirius!" a voice hissed and both of us turned our heads to the source. It was James standing at the foot of the stairs to the boys dorm.

"Oh. I'm sorry. Am I... Interuppting something?" James questioned, smirking at us.

I frowned as Sirius chucked the same pillow I hit him with as James. "What do you want?" he asked, picking up another pillow.

"Just wondering why you were out of bed, that's all," James replied, smirking even more brightly since he dodged the pillow.

"You were actually awake at this hour? I'd thought you be sleeping like a rock by now," I said, looking from James, to the clock, and back again.

James shrugged. I took the pillow from Sirius' hands and threw it at James. He didn't see it coming and it smoked him right in the face. "Why are you smirking?" I asked, frowning now that James had both pillows.

"I have my reasons. And that hurt!" he answered, throwing one pillow at me and the other at Sirius. One pillow missed my head by an inch and the other skimmed over Sirius' head.

"I thought you were a chaser James," I retorted, sticking out my tongue.

"I missed on purpose." James walked over to us and plopped himself in the chair beside the fire.

"Why are you smirking?" I asked again, prepared to throw another pillow at him.

James sighed and cast Sirius a furtive look. "Can I tell her?"

Siriurs shrugged. "You might as well."

"Sirius likes you, not-"

"Lily. I know. I'm not stupid. I've also been told several times. Wait... What?" I turned to Sirius. "You like me? Of all the girls in this school, you like me?"

Er... I'm tired... And I have to read through the story.... Yeah!! It's almost done!! *dances* I mean, how awful

It only means I can start my new story *cough*
