 96 – Socks
It was all Grandma’s fault. Neville had never wanted to wear these ridiculous socks (emblazoned with old-fashioned frills). He mused over this as he sat at the feet of a stone unicorn, trying to pry off the embellishments.
“What nice socks,” a voice commented.
Startled, he glanced over and saw Luna Lovegood.
Smiling vaguely at him, she pointed at the frills. “Those are perfect for warding off nargles.” She lifted her robes to display her own frilly socks.
Neville smiled back at her; no matter how loony she was, he was relieved he wasn’t the only one with atrocious socks. |
