I didn't avoid the net but i was really lucky to avoid spoilers. Apart from a friends Dad tried it, by telling my mate that a boeing 747 crashed into Hogwarts and Gandalf died.

On another note, you can celebrate in Ginny, Bonnie or Evanna's Fan Clubs.
