Post Deathly Hallows audio book breaks records

With 225,000 copies sold in the weekend, the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows audio book broke all records like their hardcover selves as the biggest and fastest sales in audio history!

Jim Dale, the narrator for the U.S. audio tapes, on Potter:
Quote:
Dale, 71, has recorded all seven books. The Broadway veteran knew the ending two months ago but did not reveal it, "even with my grandchildren giving me the Chinese wrist torture!" Dale doesn't have a favorite character: "I'm like a mother, you love all your children." He says he cherishes the idea that his great-great-grandchildren will be able to hear his voice reading Harry Potter. "It's a lovely legacy."
You can also hear a snippet of Dale reading Chapter 1 HERE if you don't mind spoilers.

And you can listen to a SPOILER-FREE message from Dale to listeners right HERE where he addresses fans very briefly on his experience and encourages fans to purchase the book/audio tape for their collection!

Quote:
"It's been a delight and a privilege recording this incredible series."
The U.S. and U.K. audiotapes were released along with the books on July 21, 2007.
