| Their relationship progressed in book 6, even if it wasn't all that known. It might seem WHAM cause you might've not read the 6th book before getting the 7th...
I didn't, but I remember the Half-Blood Prince clearly (definitely more clearly than the OotP, that's for sure!).
So it was somewhat rushed marriage-wise, but that's cause of the dark times. Remember Mrs. Weasley said Bill and Fleur were rushing it, getting married so soon? Dark times, more pressure to live, etc. Quote:
Although i never actually realised that they were dead until i re-read the paragraph
I kept reading cause I thought it meant they were ACTUALLY sleeping! Seriously... it was written something along the lines of 'Remus and Tonks appeared asleep...' etc, so I thought they were taking a nap or something...
Then a pageish later I realized and burst into tears... I cried the most when Lupin said: "I was trying to make a world in which he could live a happier life"
It was just the realization of their newborn son, Ted, not being able to know their parents, no memories whatsoever...
I'm happy Lupin and Tonks died together though, that's better than leaving Tonks alone or Lupin alone... suffering without the other being there...
But I do wish their death was explained more, it was more WHAM! They're dead compared to WHAM! They're married in the beginning and WHAM! Expecting a child a month later.
But overall it wasn't too rushed, not like WHAM or anything, just somewhat fast, but it was dark times...
