Here is a little bit more

Three days later at St Mungos Hospital, four Healers stood around a bed looking down at a patient muttering in excitement.

“We need to inform Albus Dumbledore that she is waking” one of them said.

“I’ll do it” said the youngest Healer and he ran from the room.

Sarina Taylor could hear a faint buzzing noise around her, she tried to open her eyes but her eyelids felt heavy, her mouth was so dry she tried to move her arms and legs but she felt as though she was being held down. She could sense a bright light from behind her lids, is this heaven she thought as the buzzing was becoming clearer.

“The signs are looking good there should be no lasting side effects” a voice said in the distance.

“Yes she was very lucky to have survived, that was one nasty curse” another voice said female this time.

It was as though a movie was playing in her head, she remembered Harry and herself in the Ministry of Magic with Voldermort and Bellatrix and how they had tried to hide behind the desk in the hall and how Bellatrix had hit her with a curse. But she wasn’t dead she had survived the curse the voices around her were telling her so, but what about Harry she thought panicking, her last memory of that night was Voldermort taking possession of Harry’s body. She struggled against the black blanket that was pressing against her eyes.

After what seemed like hours she finally managed to open her eyes she blinked a few times against the bright light until her eyes focused properly, she turned her head to the side and looked straight into the bright blue eyes of Albus Dumbledore.

“Welcome back Miss Taylor” he said smiling.

She swallowed a couple of times and licked her lips before “Prof – Professor” she croaked.

“Here have some water” he said handing her a cup.

She took a sip of water from the cup Dumbledore gave her she laid there for a moment summoning the energy to speak again.

“Sir how is Harry is he alright?” she asked “and the others are they okay?”

“Everybody is fine there is no lasting damage and I must say they will be most happy to hear that you have pulled through, they have been very worried about you” he remarked.

She was touched that they were all concerned for her health “What happened after I passed out?”

“Well we got you to St Mungos straight away and a good thing too because any longer and you would have died” said Dumbledore sombrely.

“And Harry, the last thing I remember is Voldermort using his body” whispered Sarina.

“Just after you collapsed, Voldermort released himself from Harry and fled the building with Bellatrix.” Dumbledore took her hand “you saved his life with that one little kiss”.

She was quiet for a moment thinking about the last moments she and Harry shared before she collapsed and she couldn’t help smiling.

Dumbledore interrupted her thoughts “I must say what I saw when I entered the Atrium was a phenomenon I have never encountered before. It was most extraordinary.”

“What do you mean?” she asked looking at him confused.

“In the Wizarding World when a witch and wizard share true love’s first kiss sparks will fly, literally, when that happens it means you have found your soul mate” he stated quietly “ the love that you and Harry share runs very deep and is so strong that it saved you both from Voldermort’s curse.”

“Harry and I are soul mates?” she asked amazed “I always knew that we were meant to be together from the moment I met him but I’m not sure how Harry feels”.

“Harry has a lot to be getting on with at the moment, I have given him information that he needs to digest. He’ll need time to come to grips with it all, just don’t give up on him okay” he told her patting her hand gently.

She nodded her head to let him know that she understood and tried her hardest to keep the tears ay bay.

“I’ll leave you to rest and get better, the Healer does expect you to be up and about in no time” he said “I’ll see you soon Sarina”.

Sarina spent the next three days getting her strength back she was feeling almost one hundred per cent and was eager to leave the hospital. Her aunt’s barely left her side and fussed over her night and day. At last she had been given the all clear to leave.

“Do you need any help getting dressed?” asked Aunt Jess.

“I’m fine” she said exasperated “I’m back to normal now if I wasn’t the Healer’s wouldn’t be letting me go would they.”

“We just want to make sure you’re alright, you had us both scared to death” whispered Aunt Rachel with an uncharacteristic tear in her eye.

Sarina walked over and put her arms around her two aunts “Now listen to me you two” she said firmly “I’m in perfect health and have never felt better, now what would be really good is if we can go back to normal. I want you two to go back to work and let’s try and carry on with our lives as before and….” She took a deep breath “I want to go back to Hogwarts before term finishes, I need to see my friends before the holidays start.”

“Sarina there’s only one day left before the holidays it would be easier just to come home with us” said Jess.

“I know but this is important to me” said Sarina pleadingly.

Her aunts looked at each other sadness etched on their faces “if that’s what you want Sarina then of course you can go back” said Rachel.

“Thank you” she whispered.

Sarina stood in front of Hogwarts castle staring up at its beauty, she had waited so long to get here and it had been worth the wait. It was here that she had made great friends, had the best year of her life and found the love of her life. She entered the Entrance Hall and headed up towards Gryffindor Tower she climbed through the portrait hole and walked into the common room. There sat Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville her face broke into the first real smile in days, she stood there just watching them when Hermione looked up and squealed “Sarina”. She jumped up from her chair and ran over to her and flung her arms around her, they were both crying and laughing at the same time the others walked over and joined in as well.

After they had finished their hugging and finding out how each other were Sarina looked around the common room “where’s Harry?” she asked.

“He’s gone for a walk” said Hermione quietly “he’s a bit down at the moment, you know after what happened to Sirius he’s been spending a lot of time on his own” she shook her head sadly.

“Yeah we’re not sure what to say to him” said Ron looking rather worried about his best friend.

“Maybe you could talk to him Sarina I think he might just listen to you” Hermione looked at her with a sly smile.

Sarina blushed did Harry tell them about what happened that night she thought “I’ll – I’ll try” she stammered still blushing.

They spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on news and events that had happened in the past week, they all headed up to their dormitories packing up the rest of their belongings and getting ready for the feast. Harry had still not come back from his walk.

“Are you ready Sarina?” asked Hermione.

“I’ll meet you down there Hermione I’ve just got a few last minute things to do” she said.

Hermione left the room and Sarina sat back down on the bed thinking she really wanted to talk to Harry but she hadn’t heard anything from him, not even a note. Maybe he didn’t want to see her, maybe he regretted what happened between them. She sighed there was no point sitting here all night brooding about it she might as well go and join the others at the feast. She walked out of the room, down the stairs into the common room and was halfway to the portrait hole when someone came in, she stopped in her tracks.

“Hello Harry” she said in a quiet voice.

“Oh hello Sarina” mumbled Harry.

They stood for a moment in awkward silence, she staring at him and he trying to look anywhere else but at her.

“I’m just heading down to the feast” she stated “you’re not going?”

“No I don’t feel like it much” he replied.

“No, I don’t suppose you do” whispered Sarina.

There was another awkward silence, Sarina deciding that he didn’t want to speak to her started towards the door, she had almost reached the doorway when…..

“Sarina” he called out.

She turned to look at him “yes Harry”.

“About what happened at the Ministry I want to thank you for saving my life and what happened between us” he looked her straight in the eye “I don’t regret one minute of it – it’s just that right now I can’t…..” he faltered.

“It’s okay Harry you need time to mourn Sirius, I can understand that. It was the same when dad passed away it hurts like crazy it still does but with time it does get easier” she said in a quiet voice “just don’t forget you’ve got friends Harry and we’ll always be there for you.”

He nodded feeling the pain lessen a little he kept forgetting how much they had in common but after what he had been told about the Prophecy he didn’t think it fair to get involved with anyone right now. She watched him standing there like a lost little boy and remembered what Dumbledore had said about him needing time.

“Still friends then” she said brightly.

“Still friends” he said with a small smile.

She turned and walked through the portrait hole and walked down the corridor she stopped halfway along and leant against the wall tears streaming down her face. Looks like I’m going to have to be patient a little while longer she thought as she felt her heart break in two.
