Post Imelda Staunton got "utterly over-excited" about OotP

In a new interview with The Star Imelda Staunton talks about getting the role of Umbridge in Order of the Phoenix, creating the character, working with the cast & doing stunt work.

Quote:
"My 12-year-old daughter would have thrown me out of the house if I hadn't taken it."

"Although Dolores Umbridge is so ludicrous, I had to make her real and threatening, otherwise nobody would take it seriously. So to be able to tread that line was difficult and therefore very rewarding. And it was delicious to do."

"I was completely and utterly over-excited," she said. "I tried to stay cool but I couldn't. I was giggling so much and I had to calm down and be frightened. It was great because mostly I was doing rather emotionally intense scenes with the kids and I didn't get to do many special effects. So when I got to put the harness on and be hanging as if I was between the centaurs, it was really exciting and I wanted to do it again.

"Now I think I'm just going to go into a career of stunt work."
