The
San Francisco Chronicle has some new quotes from Dan Radcliffe, regarding friendship & his career.

"Everyone needs friendship," Dan Radcliffe said emphatically, sitting in a suite at Claridge's Hotel. "Everybody needs solid, trustworthy friends. I am lucky to have this. I matured quickly. Most of my friends are adults. My best friend is a man called Will. He looks after my costumes on the set. When we met he was 35 and I was 11. He is now 41 with two children. We have been on a very big journey together."

"Theater is a completely different discipline from film. The techniques are very different. I've worked two years to be able to be onstage and the experience was phenomenal. I love that stage is so immediate." After a pause, Dan added: "But I still think I prefer film work. I don't think I could deal with the pressure of theater all the time."

"I am interested in anything that is different, that will challenge me. When I look at a new role, I keep asking myself: 'What in this part is going to do that I haven't done before?' "In the future, Dan said he would love to tackle some Shakespeare. "I am not saying this lightly. He is probably the greatest English writer."

So far, acting remains his only passion. "When I take time off, I get bored. Two weeks holiday is enough for me."
