kids in christian schools really aren't allowed to read the hp books???
that's stupid.
And comepletely false. I used to go to a Catholic School and the religion has no problem with nor do most Christians. A priest at my church ven used a section of the Harry Potter books to helop the kids to relate to his sermon once. There ARE some extremists that think all witchcraft storiesetc are evil but like I said they are extremeists. Saying that they represent all or even ANY Christians is like saying the taliban represents all muslims.
As for the textbook thingy. I think that history books especially could be more interesting if they put evrerything in. History is more than dates and names it is an epic story. However, the government tries top sugarcoat it so as not to "contaminate our young minds." For example did you know our hero Christopher Columbus was so greedy that he murdered several Indians that would not help him search for gold and tourchered a young boy until he died for asking to keep one gold piece. Think about all the wars fought throughout history. It is like one giant action book that has yet to have an end written.
Last about the good and evil thing and Catholics complaining let me ay this. Since when has the Catholic religion ever complained about this kind of stuff-the real ones not the antimagic extremeists- ? Isnt it almost always the atheists who are saying that WE are doing something wrong...usually something stupoid i might add. For puitting a cross over our door we are told we are forcing our religon on everyone else. Seriously if you are going top make an arguement make a good one.
