Default War and Peace; A Vampiric Tale

How swiftly summer had come to haunt the land. The sudden heat a plague at best. Subtle is a word not oft applied to the touch of that gold source of light. Dazed she lied amid flowers, the mind numb with exhaustion, her knees weak and bruised. A few drops of blood clung to her lips, reluctant to let go. Red juices belonging to a rat. Inevitably, they defiantly rained down her chin, only to be caught by her eager vampiric tongue. Its pleasant flavour was relished in a content smile.

"If he would look upon me now, dishonour would be mine," she mumbled in soliloquy, her father the object of her speech. His dear daughter had descended the temple of Gryffindor since graduating that prestigious school - Hogwarts.

Vanity had lost its hold over her. Mud stained her boots and trousers. A barbaric woman she had become. The warm weather had affected her health, deprived her of all sleep. As a consequence, her face was as white as the werewolf-worshipped moon. It was befitting of her newly-gained vampiric affliction. She stifled a yawn, unwilling to surrender to the exhaustion that bothered her so. "Soon the sun will rise and I will find myself a grave."

Morning visited her but too soon. The twittering of birds foreboding the arrival of silky clouds and a sky drained of all darkness. A
soft summer breeze disturbed the world, its strokes moving past the landscape in a serene whisper. A smile snaked across her face. "My master has not been found. Nor a human to satisfy my appetite. But it has been a rewarding night nevertheless."

Her fingertips trailed the cold stone of a crypt and she slithered inside for refuge. Shielded by shadows, she giggled madly, yellow fangs glittering in the remnants of nocturnal rays. Her back brushed against the stone for support while her eyes were closed. A coffin was a luxury she could not afford. It was lying on the stone, uncomfortable floor she drifted off to a world in which her father had not been disappointed and her mother was still living.

But that was a dream. Her father had gone from friend to foe. There was war where there had been peace.

[Not looking for a particular character to RP with. Since Rayline would like to become a DE though, an evil-aligned character is preferable. She could always use an ally. Or an enemy.]
