Earlier in the month, we reported that Daniel Radcliffe would be appearing on American Idol in support of the charity event, Idol Gives Back. The show starts tonight at 8 PM EST (right now), and while Dan will not be appearing live (it's a prerecorded message), several other celebrities should be coming, along with HP co-star Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange).

We do not know when in the two-hour block that the message will appear.

American Idol Gives Back is a volunteer-run charity which will save and change the lives of children and young people in extreme poverty in both the USA and Africa.

UPDATE: The show just finished airing on the East Coast. No Dan.
