Luna's Loony One-Shot Extravaganza!

Hello, all! Aria, here. As your Fanfic Director here at the LLFC, I decided that we needed to have a regular fanfic event-- thus this monthly One-Shot Extravaganza was born!

This is pretty basic-- Each month there will be a new chance to enter the contest with a one-shot about Luna. The story will be ruled almost entirely by you-- the only thing you must do is keep the theme in mind! There will be a word or phrase at the start of each new month that you must weave into your story as a theme/concept.

Here are the rules:

1. One entry per-person
2. If you enter and win first place you automatically are a judge for the next round
3. Use the theme
4. Use proper grammar
5. No foul langauge
6. Keep it decent
7. Be creative!
8. No using the word for the theme in the title (ie; if the word is love, you canNOT call your story Love or True Love or Love Story-- Creativity counts!)
9. Can be ANY Genre (Romance, Comedy, Drama-- Dramedy!)
10. There isn't a word limit-- HOWEVER, do not make it TOO LONG! If it feels like it's a novel length one-shot, we will overlook it.
11. Follow all SS RULES!
12. Must be THREE judges at all times
13. No voting for yourself (please see judging and voting for more details)
14. Be curtious to the judges and to all participants
15. And above all else... HAVE A LOONY GOOD TIME!

Voting and Judging

As it only seems right, we need judges for this event! I realize, however, that the last event, the winners were chosen by other members! Thus we are going to mix it up. The judges will have the final say, but members will be allowed to give there own opinions and chose their favourite story!

First off, as mentioned before, we need five judges at all times.

To qualify as a Judge:

1. You must be a member of the LLFC (duh.)
2. You must be on regularly (at least once daily or once every other day)
3. Bare minimu of two judges, preferably three, be an officer
4. A first place winner of fanfic competition
5. Must be a fair judge taking into consideration all aspects of the judging rubric.
6. Must have at least participated in the Extravaganza once.

If we are in desperate need of a judge for a round we will need a few people on stand-bye, who are willing to judge. Judging must be non-baist; meaning no picking your friends just because they are your friends. There will be a scoring rubric for the judges. An application for stand-bye, which will consist of members who are not officers will be available by PM.

I am the first judge and will always judge-- darn, I can't enter. :=):

This rounds possible judges have been PMed and I will post their names once I have heard from them.

Voting:

Everyone can vote-- except the judges! The voting is for fun, support and to help boost scores! This is where you can help your friends if you wish, though it will only be worth ten extra points for the most popular author.

Only one vote per person-- meaning only vote for one person per round. You can always vote for your friend to show your support. The person with the most votes will be awarded an extra ten points after the judges have gone over the scores given by them.

Only one person can be the Lunatics Choice.

Scoring/Judging Rubric/Points:

Each judge will be sent by PM their rubric. It is very likely that some judges will excell in grammer, while some will be better when it comes to creativity, but it is expected that each judge do their best in following the rubric and score accordingly.

Points are awarded by juddges accorrding to:

1. Spelling/Grammer
2. Creativity/Originality
3. Use of Theme
4. Overall Plot
5. Characterization
6. Organization/Consitency/Fluidity
7. Use of Literary Elements (Imagery/Allusions.. etc)
8.Overall Writing (includes dialogue, narration, characterization...etc)
9. Lunatics's choice
10. Judges's choice

The last two, are based off of who the Lunatic members voted for and who the judges thought was the overall best. Meaning, you, the members will choose your favourite, who not only gets ten extra points, but an award for being the Lunatics's Choice and the judges will also collaborate on who the all think is there overall favourite-- scoring aside.

If three judges like Lunatic A out of the five, then that person wins the Judges's Choice award and an extra ten points, however, that does not mean they will win first place for certain.

Each aspect you are graded on is worth up to ten points, making a total of 100 possible points. If someone manages to get all one hundred there is a special prize for that.

Placing/Prizes

Now, then the placing and prizes portion.

There are going to be three people chosen by the judges: First Place, Second Place, and Third Place. Then there is a seperate award for Lunatics's Choice and Judges's Choice, which leaves a total of five awards.

You can earn up to 100 points on your entry. Just by participating you will earn Lls. Each person to win an award will recieve one extra Ll plus a siggy and/or avvie as their prize.

The first place person is expected to judge the next two rounds as well as choose the theme for the next round.

Those who win any of the five awards will have their one-shot put up in a special thread for the winners of this competition.
