Scarlet tossed and turn that night muttering in her sleep as she dreamt of her mother.

“Why can’t I stay here?! My friends are here! Jake is here! I don’t even know him!” Scarlet yelled at her mother tossing her stuffed bear at her bedroom wall. Scarlet heard the baby start crying, “Tell me something, Mother. Why did you leave him for Davvy? Ignore the stupid baby and answer me!” Scarlet glared at her mother as she left the room. She sat on her bed and right as she had sat down Davvy came in her room and shut the door. He was making a fist as he walked to Scarlet. He pulled back his arm and fist when he got in front of her.

Scarlet sat up in bed tears streaming down her face. She quietly got out of bed and walked to the common room. She was on her way to the way out when she heard something or someone behind her. She jumped around and saw Draco staring at the fire. Scarlet slowly walked to him, she walked beside him. “Draco?” Scarlet watched him he seems upset about something. Draco shrugged then looked at her and asked in a whisper, “Have you ever liked someone that you couldn’t be with?”

Scarlet nodded, “Yes, I like someone but my father told me to stay away from him.” “Who’s this unlucky guy?” Draco smirked. Scarlet looked away from him but didn’t answer, but instead said, “You tell me yours and I’ll tell you mine.” Draco moved closer to Scarlet, “It’s me, isn’t it?” Again Scarlet only said, “You tell me yours and I’ll tell you mine.” Draco smirked, “Alright, it’s you I like.” Scarlet looked at him and smiled, “The feelings neutral.”

Draco ran his hand through her hair, “So, what are you doing up this late?” Scarlet lost her smile and looked away, “I had a nightmare…well it was a memory…of my stepfather and mother…” “What about them?” Draco asked leading her to the couch. “Well…the reason I am with my father now is because my mother and stepfather had a baby and he wouldn’t buy a new house to fit us all in. He’s a Muggle and a doctor…kinda like a Healer but without magic…anyway, he’s got the money to buy a new house…he just wont.”
