So far it is absolutely wonderful. I don't like Cho much but I like that there is a Ced/Cho story. I love cedric. Keep it up!
PAMS
Roshni Thanks!
And here is a post! “You’re a bloody good dancer,” I complimented truthfully. I enjoyed how Ced’s hand rested on my waist, not too forceful, yet not too uncontrolled.
His eyes flicked to the floor and he blushed lightly. He was so cute! “Er, thanks,” he said. “I suppose those dancing lessons in class helped.”
I nodded. “They did.”
We danced in silence for a while, soaking in the music. I couldn’t peel my eyes away from his. By the time it was time for dinner, I didn’t want to stop. Ced held my hand loosely and a bit shyly at first. We joined my friends and his friends at one large table.
Everyone soon forgot any tension as we all conversed comfortably. I could see envious glances being thrown our way. Ignoring them, I struck up a conversation with Cedric, who easily carried it.
When the last course was finished, the Weird Sisters started to play. My table immediately perked up. “Finally, some music I can dance to!” one of Ced’s Hufflepuff friends remarked with a goofy smile. He and his date waved to us and joined the group that had already gathered.
“Wanna dance?” Cedric asked me with a smile. I couldn’t decline; not that I wanted to decline anyways. I was thoroughly enchanted by him. Nodding, I rose and he took my hand, leading me to the dance floor.
A wild number was playing when we started dancing. I was a bit unsure at first, but of course, I didn’t show it. I let myself go, dancing wildly. Ced was all smiles. He swayed with me, holding onto my wrists at times, making them tingle.
After half an hour of dancing, it was beginning to steam, or it seemed like it. I could feel my cheeks were flushing and his were too. He seemed to notice as well and suggested, “Why don’t we go out for a walk?” We gazed up at the ceiling. The night was clear, the same as it had been when we first arrived at the Yule Ball. Nodding, I settled my hand into the crook of his arm and we left through the back door.
The winter air was crisp and cool, which was relieving to my body. I breathed in deeply. My feet made clip-clop noises as we strolled on the stone in silence. Glancing over at Cedric, I studied his handsome features, lit by the soft luminosity of the flittering fairies around us.
He must have seen me staring and met my eye, one corner of his mouth turning up. Slightly embarrassed, I averted my eyes. It wasn’t till a few minutes later that I realized he was guiding me towards a bench overlooking the lake.
