Well bred English ladies did not gape. Well bred English ladies were expected to blush prettily and turn away from a spectacle, or to merely ignore the entire event. However, Katie Bell did not aspire to be a well bred English lady. She was a rough, quidditch playing, tree climbing and cursing (in the hexing way) witch.
So when Marcus Flint walked onto the Quidditch pitch wearing a lion costume instead of his green robes, Katie nearly fell off her perch as she laughed.
The entire student population was silent, gaping at the furious Slytherin captain. But Katie kept laughing. |
