Name: Asher Smithson
Year: 7th
Birthdate: September 28th, 2017
Favorite Classes: Potions, Transfiguration; good grades in all though
Least Favorite: Flying, anything involving athletics
House: Ravenclaw

Looks: Dark brown hair, gray eyes, average height, slim build. Good looking, though rarely noticed as he does not attempt to call attention to it. He has a rather pale complexion of someone who stays indoors a lot. He is not at all athletic and has delicate health (before anyone thinks it - he is NOT a werewolf hehe).

Personality: Quiet and somewhat shy, Asher doesn't prefer being center of attention. He is content to let his friend, Brennan, do most of the talking. He would seem an unlikely choice of friend for the outgoing Coop beyond the fact that Asher does most of the boy's homework, but the two had become good friends ever since Asher saved Brennan from a particularly nasty potion during first year. Asher is not in the least put off by his friend's outgoing nature and rather admires and finds him amusing.

Asher is also very much the Libra, his zodiac sign. An even scales type of person, he prefers keeping peace and is the negotiator and among his friends. He helps smooth things over and get Coop out of more troubles then his friend is aware of.

History: Asher comes from a *semi* pure-blood family. Semi meaning, there were once half-bloods in the Smithson history, but they have married so many times into families of pure blood, that it has been several generations since there have been any non-magical family members. This being said, the Smithson's, though accepted in pure blood society, are often regarded as rich muggles look at families of 'new money'. One of the pure blood class, but hardly ancient or noble (haha).

Asher's parents are both important wizard healers and scientists (what do wizards call people who make new potions and cures for sickness?). They are both quite brilliant and raised him in a very book filled and intellectually stimulating environment. Asher has an older sister, Bianca, who has graduated and just got married to Doyle's brother Stewart. She has always been a bit bitter with Ash, as she feels he always got more attention from their parents. She is very proud to be Mrs. Smithson-Branxton, a subject that Ash is quite tired of.
