BEST OF WIYM III ~ SIRIUS HAIKUS

Since we have had SO many wonderful haikus written by our brill WIYM III posters, I thought it only fair to share some of the best with all of you. With the writers' benevolence, here they are and enjoy!

Note: Some members feature more haikus than others. Only natural, seeing as though they have posted more in the WIYM III - haikus round.

Also, if anyone would like to see theirs posted here, as well ~~as I haven't had the chance to go through all the haiku posts in the WIYM~~, you may PM me.

When dark overcomes
You must remember the light
Don't be hushed by night

Mirror, oh mirror,
It reflects no more your face,
merely your absence

In all of the books
You remain a presence strong
A smile, a tear, you.

Forget all the tears
Remember instead the laughs
We once had with him

A loner he was
For so many years alone,
but now, he has us

Blackened

Souls are strange things, really
They have a bark-like laugh, and
They yearn to be free

Veiled night unfolds you
Still you written in the stars
Are most beautiful.

Right behind the veil
Souls wait for their turn to drift
Into the sunset

The road is dark now
I hear the call of the veil
It tears me apart

Too soon we lost you
All the leaves call out your name
And I, one of them

The night was starry
And I hoped you would return
Descending on light.

I rode a dark dream
In hope that it would lead me
To the starry sky.

Stony and gray is
The archway to nothingness
Live among the stars

A deadly night comes
While primroses do not wait
For just any soul

I woke up tonight
As a dagger stabbed my heart
You had died, my friend.

The moon loves you more
You leave trails of stars behind
It hurts to twinkle

In the dead of night
Where I end and you begin
Eyes sparkle so bright

When all things shall pass
Your memory will remain
Concealed in a bark

Sirius Black runs
Through the cold dark night
to a cave alone

All alone to bear
the guilt, the pain, and dispair
Locked in his own home.

I saw him, alone
Wet, cold, and very depressed
He had lost it all.

The Veil; it took him
Beyond this world and further
From those who loved him.

When the sky is clear
I can see your face etched there,
Forever in stars.

The night may be cold,
but when I think about you
I become quite warm.

When I look at you,
I see James. And it hurts...
But it cheers me, too.

This place is darker
Than anywhere I've been.
Is this to be home?

Soaring the air
Atop the back of Buckbeak
Flying to be free

You are the brightest
Of stars. You light up the night
With your happy smile.

Against all the odds
You escaped from Azkaban
Strengthened by your love.

Even though I cry
Without you, your memory
Always brings a smile.

The last look you gave
Still haunts my dreams. You laughed
In the face of death.
