Zonko’s Game Shop and Trivia by XoxXtinaxox09
Among the many features SnitchSeeker.com has to offer, one of the first places that attracts many newcomers is the Zonko’s Game Shop and Trivia forum. After a newbie (new member) has surpassed a minimum of 10 posts, the game threads are finally opened up for exploration. However, like every other forum on SnitchSeeker, in order for things to run smoothly, there are rules. Game ideas are generally submitted by members, approved by moderators and then run by the member who originated the idea. All games threads cannot exceed 4,000 posts, due to bandwith concerns. Once a thread reaches 4,000 posts, it will be closed and deleted by the moderators. Usually, the game will be replaced with a newer version. And whenever a new Harry Potter book is released, a spoiler ban automatically affects all SnitchSeeker games for several months.
Among the many different types of games Zonko’s offers, there are two special ones that have won the hearts of all who play. It is pretty clear to all that Snape is My Man (SIMM), an SS original game, is a favorite to the majority of the Zonko regulars. Though it’s cherished by many and in its 13th installment, the game is really quite simple. In order to win the beloved Snape, a member’s post number has to be a multiple of five (e.g. 5, 10, 15, 20, etc).
Another intriguing game that relates to Harry Potter is Virtual Quidditch. This game works using “moves” and “results.” Members make moves (e.g. shooting or passing quaffles, or sending bludgers) and then rely on team mates (other members of their house) to complete their moves with a result (bludgers hitting their mark, quaffles being intercepted or goals being scored).
As many SnitchSeeker members know, Zonko's is a great place for meeting new people and tying bonds. Though spam is discouraged, many members have been able to create special friendships. In one way or another, it's one of the best socializing threads on SnitchSeeker. And the greatness of Zonko’s is due to SnitchSeeker’s diversified membership. Simply put, it’s like a second home for many.
