I watched the award and was shocked at how unenthusiastic the presenters and book crittics were about HP. It seemed to me as if none of them thought it deserved to be up there. Also as much as i love LOTR i think it won on the merrit of the movie which is wrong as it was supposed to be about the books not their screen counterparts... how many people do you know who have picked up LOTR and had to put it straigh back down again becouse it's too heard to read?!
Out of all the books (I've read all but his dark materials) I think Pride and Predudice deserved to win the most, Jane Austin was a geniouse to have written a book that is still as relavent and loved today as it was when it was first published.
