I do get the point you say for the next book though. The fact Lily was nice to him may come out. If that is the case, then you all are totally right. If not, the scene is being driven into the movie by fan girls.
Younger Snape's character is Older Snape's character. This memory is a thing that will built up Snape's character as it will be show more at the next book. The begining as I can say.
