i thought that the yule ball was one of the best scenes in the play. Hermione was really beautiful, and the Patil sisters were pretty as well. Although a few things were altered , I think the overall scene was great. Ron looked cute in the dress robe scene and also the last part (where everyone was dancing and he was left sitting down on the table with harry and the patil sisters). I do have to agree with what thedonhp said, though, that Hermione crying on the staircase was a bt exaggerated. But nevertheless, two thumbs up for the cast and crew of GoF!!
