Food & Merchandise Stands Souvenirs! Get'cha fancy, World Cup souvenirs! |
Amy & Hawkleberry <3 Quidditch World Cup! Exciting! Nico had always enjoyed the matches at Hogwarts and she was one of the loudest ones at the stands especially for Bel, who was her dormie and captain. But this was different! This was the world cup and if that wasn't exciting enough, then she didn't know what was. And even better because she was with Hawkleberry! Mercy wasn't around and that was fine, and Nico saw her cutest girlfriend so much during the summer already anyway. But still, she was with Hawke and she had her arm looped around his as she tugged him towards one of the merchandise stands. "Look! More hats!" He knew what that meant, right?! |
Sachin and anyone who wants to join in. :) Noises, colors, things that flashed and honked, food, smells… It was al a little overwhelming. Thank goodness Sachin was with him. Without him, Conley had the feeling he would be lost. Winnie would be all over the place and his father would have been complaining about the noise. He only wished he could be walking down the aisles holding Sachin’s hand, but as this technically fell under the definition as a work function, that went against the rules they had agreed upon. Instead he merely looked over at the man and smiled. ”I’m hungry. What would you recommend?” He wanted to try something from Sachin’s birth country. |
Ms. Wilde <3 This.. was only marginally fun. The excitement in the air was palpable and people seemed like they were having a good time, but his years in law enforcement prevented Benzi from being able to fully enjoy himself. Every person could be a polyjuiced criminal, every food item poisoned, it was far too easy to blend in with all this magic flying around. Hard to detect malicious intent. Nevertheless, the off-the-job Auror tried his best to keep his paranoia at bay as he held on tightly to Emma's hand with his left, and tickling Clara's palm with his right. "DADDY!! LOOK!!!!! THERE'S SMOKE COMING OUTTA THAT PERSON'S EARS!!!" Emma bellowed, pointing with abandon despite her father's continued insistence that pointing is rude. No one's even looking at her! Can't be rude if no one else notices, psht. She was HIGHKEY VERY ENERGETIC about today, having looked forward to it for THREE FOREVERS. She didn't much like having to hold Daddy's hand for all of it but he said as soon as they meet up with Grandma and Grandpa and Cobes he'll let her roam around freely. It's still not fair, because Cobes was probably allowed to walk around on his own and he's not that much older than her! She's SEVEN, she's practically Hogwarts age now. "OOOH, CLARA!" Emma reached over to tug on her dad's friend's clothes, sufficiently distracted from continued pouting, "your hair matches the fire! Over there!" she pointed to - fine, fine, gestured, Daddy, gestured - at one of the stalls, where some person was cooking with a really big pot and there was FIRE in it. TOTALLY WICKED. "What does that taste like?? I wanna try it!" |
SPOILER!!: Conley! <3 Sachin’s eyes had been fixed on the tri-coloured flag that was India’s at one of the stands. He needed to get one of that for when India won so that he could wave it in Conley’s face. The thought made him want to laugh. In addition, the two had a bet going on where they’d be going for dinner was at stake. Not that it would matter as in the end, he’d have another happy dinner date with Conley. Still... he did want his team to win. Hearing the man’s work, the Ambassador turned his attention away from the flag. “You’ve found the time to eat?’’ he teased. This was something between the two of them that he was always trying to make Conley eat on time. “Depends what you’re in the mood for but I’d highly recommend paneer and chili naan.’’ |
Quote:
Especially girls that were strictly friends. He laughed. "Yes. Gotta get more hats." |
SPOILER!!: Sachin ”You know me better than that,” Conley retorted to the eating comment. He turned distracted by a person walking by with a screaming kid. As they passed, he turned back around. ”You recommend the what’s a what?” he replied. He didn’t care what it was he ate as long as it was something new. ”Is it spicy?” He caught Sachin looking at a flag and chuckled. He sometimes got excited like a kid in a candy store, but he had an inkling about what Sachin was thinking. ”You’re going to loose. And then you owe me a very expensive dinner.” |
Quote:
She would also like to point out that strictly best friends was a nice title too. Nico beamed and wiggled her fingers at one of the hat vendors. "Are we rooting for England?" Was he rooting for England? Nico didn't even have a team preference. She was here mostly for fun, the experience, and souvenir shopping with her favourite Hawkleberry. |
Free post! Hanna had taken a break from her very large family, gathered in the camp area. She loved them dearly, but they were getting loud and she needed to give her ears a rest. Besides, she was loving the warm weather. Heading around the food and merchandise stands, she thought about purchasing a beanie in the Norwegian team colours, and a small flag in the England colours - but the smell of the curry was making her mouth water. Turning towards the food stands, she decided to do food first, merch second. |
Quote:
--Skyler-- All the noises, smells, lights, and people was getting a bit over whelming. She was a bit overwhelmed. She waved when she saw a familliar face. Well, she didn't rememeber her name sense they were in different faces but... "Hey!" She called out. ---Caleb-- Caleb cringed. "Oi, she probably can't hear you," he said. He sighed when Skyler rolled her eyes. Did he recognize the girl she was waving st? Maybe. He'd reckon she was a second year when he was a seventh. |
Could she say she was a ball of stress, yes, that was exactly what Victoria was. She wanted to enjoy the day, but being in charge of the day made her worry about the day that she was supposed to enjoy, but she was going to enjoy it and brought her entire family, which mean grandma duties too. After sitting for a bit, Victoria got up and took Christian's hand telling him she'd buy him a treat at the concessions if he wanted. So they made their way down to the food area and she looked around for a menu. "What would you like sweetie? Gamma will get you anything you want." She was allowed to spoil her grandson of course. She knew her girls would probably want some food too, so she figured she'd buy everyone something. |
Quote:
"Yup." he said picking up two of the hats. (Yes, he was getting them matching hats. Please don't Aww.) "We'll have to buy food too. And possibly jerseys." Going all out seemed like it would be fun. |
Quote:
And of course, Nico giggled. "Awwwww!" It was inevitable. Sorry, not sorry, Hawke. Why wasn't anybody dating him? He was the absolute cutest! I mean, come on! "I like food! And I like matchy jerseys too." Nico liked matchy everything. |
Ariadne & Lauren <3 It was cooler than Kazimir had thought it would be, yet still warmer than he was used to with growing up in Russia. Not that he had stayed there for a while, with living and working in Madrid… but the bone-deep cold was something you didn’t forget. Not even after years of living in the gorgeous heat climates that Ariadne and he had done. “Are you warm enough?” The man asked Ariadne in easy Spanish. Dr Ariadne Grahn. His wife and very much the best of him… Who, knowing her, very much wished to be on a broom instead of watching this match. Unfortunately, while he wished to help her with every dream, that wasn’t one he could do at this time. Which made him sad… but he had made a promise to make sure they were here (with good seats) to see all of the action first hand. Stepping closer as he gently placed one hand on the base of her back, he gave her a lop-sided smile. “We should either have something to eat, or buy snacks for through the match.” |
Everything looked great, from the food to the merchandise and even the other Quidditch lovers. It seemed like the whole world was here- usually that sort of thing would leave Maxie a nervous, fidgety wreck- but not today. Now now. He was brimming with a different kind of nervous energy. Love. Love for the game. Love for England. Love for his family and their seats. L O V E and nothing - except maybe everything - could get in the way of these very positive feelings. The 12-nearly 13-year-old thought about his good mood as he perused through a sea of England's Finest Merchandise. He wanted a shirt, for sure. and a banner. and maybe some stickers, and maybe a a quaffle he could get the players to autograph later. There was so much, and so little time. Maxie was electric. |
Mia moved her way through the crowd until she found the line up of food and drinks. She was so hungry! She'd only just arrived last night and went straight to the game so she hadn't had a chance to eat. Everything smelled so good. As she waited in line she eyed up the curry and naan. It smelled like the perfect meal to her. The closer the line got the better idea it seemed. She could even hear her stomach rumbling. She hoped no one else did. |
Quote:
"How about these ones?" he asked. If she approved, he'd pay for them and then they'd grab some food. |
Quote:
Lenora still couldn’t believe it. This was going to be such an experience, she just knew it. .. except for the crowd maybe. She wasn’t a huge fan of crowds but she didn’t care. It was the World Cup. She walked slowly, trying not to bump into people, looking at all the merchandise on display. Hmm.. the fourteen year old was indecisive. What did she want to buy? |
Quote:
"Ooooooh, I like 'em! Works well those hats!" Nico beamed. "Now you've got a jersey and shirt collection to complete too!" This Hugglypuff was here for it. |
For Ashley!Cece! Catherine. Did. Not. Like. Crowds. Her face red and hands tightly closed in fists by her sides, the girl was actually holding her breath for most of the time as she walked through people, trying her best not to bump into any of them. It was the World Cup, though, so she knew it was a big deal, especially as it was in the UK and England was in the final. Catherine wasn't going to complain, because it was a once in a lifetime kind of experience, but... she couldn't wait until she was back at their tent, with only their families to deal with. Dealing with Noah and Scarlett instead of this crowd sounded like a dream right now. And that was saying something. "Why do they have to be so loud?" The nine year-old grumbled under her breath half to herself, half to her best friend, sending a few glares and frowns to those who dared bump into her. "And blind." Couldn't they see she was trying to avoid human contact!? So rude! |
feel free to claim xD Spain had been eliminated, and yet that hadn’t stopped Adriana from feeling the need to make an appearance at the final match. Nor did the fact she didn’t particularly care about Quidditch at all. Any event was a possible place where she could network, or, at the very least, show people what they were missing. Both in fashion and otherwise, although it wasn’t as if she was desperate. Adriana Dane was never desperate, or at least she’d never admit it. She never admitted to having any weaknesses at all. Either way, dressed impeccably in an outfit of her own design, she wove her way through the crowds of people gathered around the food stands, not too concerned about if she was being polite or not, to investigate what else was being offered. Of course, she hadn’t expected much, but upon raising up a garishly colored beanie in the colors of one country’s team or another in two fingers to eye level, she was underwhelmed. |
from the stands Quote:
He was, he knew he was, their coach had been dropping hints about future promotions and Alex was trying VERY hard to keep his expectations low. Not very successfully but he was trying. Logically, he was well aware that he was far from experienced or old (they usually went hand in hand somehow huh?) enough for anything to happen any time soon but his heart still got way too excited every time their coach wanted to have a private conversation. ANYWAY, he was digressing. Knowing full well that Maddie probably wouldn't be enjoying herself sitting up here by herself, Alex looked around the pitch for a moment before standing up again. "You should help me pick the food." He held out his hand again, grinning to her. .......... "...maybe they'll have Norwegian food again." Alex said once they'd somehow managed to make it through the crowd of people heading ONTO the stands. Giving his wife's hand a squeeze, he led them over to one of the nearest food stands. "Right, so....chocolate, right? You wanted chocolate?" Also other things but hey, desserts were very important. They definitely and wholeheartedly agreed on that. |
Quote:
"E-erm." Maxie began, shuffling his feet. Social Anxiety, it seemed, was much stronger than any love or excitement he'd been feeling. Red faced, Maxie tried to work up the courage to say something to the girl- just a quickexcuse me! so he could grab the little bat-pen and get out of here.... |
Hattie <3 Royland was probably the only Gladin family member who was excited about the World Cup. Which was REALLY weird to him. He'd for sure thought Nettie and Jimmy - the two people in the family who actually PLAYED - would be interested. But Nettie was more focused on her U-17, which was understandable. Jimmy was spending his first summer as an employed adult so...ok, it made sense that no one else in the family had been interested. Holding hands with his beautiful girlfriend, Hattie, he strolled along the merchandise and food stands before the match. "Ok, what souvenir do you want? It's on me," he told her with a grin. |
SPOILER!!: Catherine! Cecelia, on the other hand, was LIVING HER BEST LIFE. The colors. The crowds. THE EXCITEMENT. She couldn't even BELIEVE she got to be here and that her mum had agreed to let her check out the stands while she waited in line for food. THAT LINE WAS HUGE! It meant she had all the time in the WORLD, basically, and she was enjoying EVERY MINUTE of sweet freedom. "It's because this is all so amazing, Catherine!" The blonde grinned, her long blonde hair bouncing around her shoulders as she walked with a pep in her step towards one of the merchandise tables. "Look, I know it's not really your thing, but it's SO MINE, so please at least try and have fun..." She got all puppy eyes activated mode on her best friend, imploring her to enjoy herself. It really shouldn't be too hard. THIS WAS THE WORLD CUP! "You think my mum will let me get a jersey? That'd be so cool!" SPOILER!!: Husband "Chocolate is my most favorite thing in the world next to cats, and art, and...I know I'm forgetting something." She flashed a smile at him, moving closer as someone with an impressive order of chips squeezed past them. The smell alone made her mouth water and she was suddenly very glad she'd joined Alex. Meant she could snack as soon as they got their order. "Hey, I remembered. My husband." That was him and he smelled equally lovely. "You're on my favorite things list, too." Lucky him. Maddies only made lists about important things. "I vote cake or brownies or cookies or chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce." Or all of the above. She might be tiny, but the girl could eat. |

Skyler smiled and nodded a bit. "Yeah, that's right. This is my brother Caleb." Caleb nodded. He waved a bit not really talking. |

SPOILER!!: Conley! <3 That slow smile spread across Sachin’s face. Conley was right, he did know him more than that. They had only been dating for about two months but Conley’s abysmal eating habits was something that Sachin constantly tried to remedy. He watched the man be distracted by a noisy child and thought nothing of it. “Paneer and chili naan,’’ he repeated patiently. “It is spicy and I know you’re not scared of spicy food... right?’’ He was just teasing. “Paneer zindagee hai ... chaay ke baad. Paneer is life... after tea.’’ The Ambassador pretended to scoff. “When kneazles fly,’’ was his reply as he moved towards the food stand that sold the Indian food. “Yeah, well, you’re going to owe me a five course Greek meal.’’ He wasted no time in ordering them the paneer and chili naan, extra spicy. “You can choose what we get to drink since I suggested the food, Con.’’ His tone was soft so that no one could hear the nickname used to refer to Conley. After all, their relationship was still a low-key one. In any case, it was so noisy that he doubted anyone could overhear them. |
Quote:
Caleb nodded and smiled a bit. "It's nice to meet you," he looked at Skyler and back at Hanna. "I'm going to look at the other booths," he said and started walking off. Skyler sighed glad that he finally left. "I don't mind him but I want to do things on my own fpr a bit, you know?" |
SPOILER!!: Sachin :-* He still hadn’t caught what Sachin was suggesting for food, distracted as he was by the man speaking Hindi; he didn’t know what he was saying, but he sounded so good saying it! So he was glad that the man had walked over to the vendor to get the food himself. He didn’t mind spicy food so long as it wasn’t going to set his hair on fire. He followed the man over to the vendor a little distracted by all the noise and things to see. He got a little distracted by the nearby kids that appeared to be attempting to flirt. ”What about – oh.” He looked over the menu. ”What is Aam pana?” he asked looking over the menu. ”No, it’s going to be a dinner at the Lapérouse,” followed by a walk along the Seine. But he kept that comment to himself. And just like he said that he got an idea. ”I’ll be right back.” He gave the man’s arm a quick squeeze and then wandered off. A few minutes later he was back carrying an Indian flag and a Union Jack, a British ribbon rosette pinned to his shirt. He handed the Indian flag and rosette over to Sachin. ”Something to commemorate this outing.” |
Quote:
He nodded at the choices and paid for their matching gear. "Cool." he said with a half grin. He then held out her hat and jersey to her. "Should we put them on now?" Might as well, right? If they were going to match might as well go all out right away. |
Quote:
"Cool!" She repeated, grinning and taking the hat and jersey from him. She lifted the jersey up for a bit to see the entire thing before slipping it on. "What do you thiiiink?" She asked, adjusting the cap on her head as well to match the look. And yes, that definitely meant that they were putting them on now. |
Quote:
Looking up, she raised an eyebrow at the boy standing in front of her who.. looked rather nervous? And tall. Oh so very tall! Picking up the pen, she dropped it into one of the many bags that he was carrying while giving him a polite smile. “I guess you’ve done a lot of shopping.” |
Quote:
"You treat me too much She teased with a little laugh. She did love him for that though. She had never felt so happy than when she was with him. "Hmm... maybe we should get matching shirts. We'd look cute" |
Quote:
Chocolate was such an amazing thing. Alex kept on grinning at Maddie as they stood in line, his gaze only wavering briefly when a huge amount of chips walked past them. Well, someone HOLDING them but all he could see was the chips so they might as well have just been floating past. How many people were in front of them still? It felt like it was about three hundred. Although in reality it was probably closer to ten. Still, way too many. Alexander Fuchs was very hungry. "Aww, I'm on your list too?" His attention was back on Maddie and he gave her a small amused smirk. "And you forgot about Roxy. She's one of your favorites, too, right?" She WAS part of their odd little family, right? With regard to their order, Alex just nodded along. "I vote we get everything. We can dip the brownies and cake into the ice cream." Yes, perfect plan. They were living such healthy lives. |
Quote:
Waiting on the queue for the food line - because what would a sporting event be without food, she gave a small smile to the woman in front of her. "First time at a quidditch cup match?" Probably, since it's only hosted by England once ever like three decades and the woman seemed around her age. |
SPOILER!!: Hello! :) Mia looked over to the girl behind her. People in England really are friendly, but this one doesn't sound English. 'Is that accent American?' Excited at the prospect of making a friend here. "No, actually. I went about four years ago with some friends who had played earlier in the tournament, unfortunately their teams just didn't make it to the final. It was amazing though!" Mia beamed, Quidditch was such an exciting game. "What about you? Have you ever been?" |
Quote:
Of course, Temp was pretty easy to shop for. Maybe everyone's family wasn't like that? He looked her over after she put the jersey on. "Looks great." Slips his on with the hat topping his head. "And me?" he asked turning on the spot to model the look. |
Quote:
With Hawke also dressed the part, Nico laughed and clapped her hands. One could really tell that she was pretty easy to please too. "NEWT-level outstanding!" Now they were totally ready for this world cup! |
SPOILER!!: Conley! <3 Sachin tilted his head at Conley while waiting for their order. “Something wrong?’’ He was slowly getting to know Conley’s quirks and habits but this one was easily noticeable- the way he got distracted. The Ambassador was in no way looking to make any assumptions hence the reason he asked. “Oh, that’s a drink made from mangoes. It’s mostly used during summer time because it has a cooling effect.’’ Which is why the drink was a great choice to have it there. The summer heat could be overbearing! He simply smiled that slow smile in response to Conley’s convicted response. His boyfriend was so certain of England’s win. For now, he settled for watching Conley go off before turning back to collect their food. He could hardly wait to sink his teeth into the naan. As it was, paneer was his favourite thing ever (after masala chai). He turned back in the direction in which Conley left to see him making his way back. Sachin balanced their foods in one hand to take the flag. “Thanks, Con. But you’re still going to loose.’’ His lips twitched. |
Quote:
"Oh wow. Yea the excitement is just surreal!" She shook her head. "Sadly no. This is my first opportunity I've had to go to a World Cup." Crazy with the traveling she'd done in the last three years, but she reckoned it made sense too since before that she was in school and with world cups being hosted only every four years, it didn't coincide with her location previously. "Have you ever been to a Muggle American Baseball game? This reminds me of that, times like A HUNDRED!" |
Quote:
"You, Alexander, are a terrible influence. I love it." It worked because she could be one, too. Moving up in the queue, Maddie bounced a bit, thoughts of sugary foods filling her head. "We should go find a mascot after this, get a picture..." She was teasing. He knew she was teasing, right? |
Text Cut: Sachin He shrugged. They could argue all day about who was going to win and who was going to get to eat where when they won, or they could enjoy the spectacle that was the World Cup. He tucked his flag into a back pocket then reached out and snagged the what’s-it-what? from Sachin’s hand. He apparently still needed to get them drinks. He popped some of the food into his mouth. ”Cheesey bread?” he asked while still chewing a little in an attempt to figure out what he was eating. And there came the spice. Oooh…ahh.. better get that drink. He turned walking with the food so that Sachin could put on his rosette, looking as he walked over to the first stall he could find and ordered two pumpkin juices. Maybe they would get ice cream later. He thought he saw a stall down the way for Florean Fortescue. The could always take that to their seats. Maybe with a bag roasted nuts. Yup, Conley was going to enjoy all the stall foods while he could. |
SPOILER!!: Conley! <3 Okay, so it seemed like nothing was wrong which was a relief to Sachin. Conley needed to relax after all that hard work during the course of the year prior to the World Cup. He would see to it that the man did as much as possible. He grinned a little as he watched Conley eat. “Something like that. Achchha laga, hai na? Nice, isn’t it?’’ He always remembered to add a translation into the conversation anytime he slipped into Hindi. Conley might be a man of many languages but Hindi was not something he was familiar with. Sachin followed along while fixing his rosette. Proud fan of the Indian Quidditch team here. It didn’t matter to him whether they win or lost, just as long as they played their best. “How does it look?’’ he asked, showing off the rosette. “Is it crooked?” |
Text Cut: Sachin ”It’s good,” he admitted about the food. He wasn’t certain just yet if it was too spicy or if he just wasn’t used to it. Either way he was glad he had the pumpkin juice. He was about a third of the way through his pumpkin juice as Sachin asked about the rosette. ”Nope,” he said licking his lips a little. ”You look great.” He smiled at the man as he recapped his pumpkin juice and tucked it under his arm. He wanted to reach out and touch him, but restrained himself. Instead he passed the spicy naan back to Sachin. He turned to look the rows of merchant tents. ”Should we get something to take to our seats? Who knows how long the game will last.” He took another bite of the naan he was still holding. ”Or do you want to go to the meet and greet tent? See that guy you and Winnie were talking about?” |
Quote:
He grinned. "Now we find food." he said starting to walk, letting his nose be his guide. |
Text Cut: SilverTiger Someone pushed past Jack who was busy looking around one of the stands. He had been waiting for the shopkeeper to become preoccupied so he could palm that solid gold snitch that was sitting a hand span away. ”You don’t look very impressed,” he stated in American accent. He picked up a hat covered in rhinestones. ”Not your style?” he asked offering it to her. He then picked up another one, this time with a flashing charm made a face and tossed it over that Golden Snitch. Rummaging through a few more things, he went back and picked up that flashy hat (and snitch). He tossed a few coins to the merchant and wandered off. Nobody would notice the missing snitch in all hustle and bustle. Text Cut: nicole black He slipped that solid gold snitch into a hidden inner pocket, then put that garish beanie on his head and continued to walk around a little. A while later, he passed a guy who was overloaded with goodies. A hand reached out as the mark chatted with a young lady and snatched his Lominoculars as he walked past. He could get a few coins for these. Clearly the boy was too busy trying not to drop things and dealing with the crowd to miss them. Text Cut: LilFox06 Jack tucked the Lominoculars into his belt whistling as he walked on down the stalls. He smiled to himself. Was there another stall he could find a goodie at? The golden snitch had been a great find. And then he passed by two youngins' wearing matching hats. Oh no….poor dude!! No! No no...That’s how girls get you. First it's matching hats, then it's his and her jewelry, followed by his and her brooms and finally his and her sinks. Lightening quick - he pulled the flashing beanie off his head and exchanged it with the guy’s. He kept walking as if nothing happened. The guy would later thank him (well, at least in his head). Because there was no way he was going to find him again. Matching hats were ridiculous; no matter how much you were in love. |

"Oh I've heard it's lovely there! I've always wanted to travel stateside." Mia beamed. She heard there's always a big party there once a year. 'What's it called again? Marni Grad? Marli Grad? She'll think of it, but she's always so bad with that sort of thing.' Mia grinned thinking of her first World Cup, she could practically feel that same excitement in the air again. It was electric! 'Muggle American Baseball? What was that? Muggles don't use their brooms to fly do they? She'd only ever seen them sweep floors with it. Unless it's different in America. That's how her parents did it.' Mia was very confused. "Is it anything like football or cricket? I've seen those muggle games before. My parents are muggle, but my dad was only ever really big on football." |

The young girl walked closer to her best friend, because she didn't mind bumping into Cecelia. In fact, she'd rather bump into the blonde than into any of those people she didn't know. Who knew, they could be diseased. Did they even wash their hands after they went to the toilet? Catherine bet some of them didn't. The thought alone made her gag. Gross!! As Cecelia mentioned the possibility of getting a jersey, Catherine looked up at some of the merchandise. Those things looked a lot more expensive than anything they could get in Diagon Alley. The brunette eyed the people minding the stand, thinking how clever that was because everyone there probably really wanted to buy those things right there and then, which meant they wouldn't care if they had to pay more. Very clever. But also Cecelia was about to be a victim. "You can get those for a lot cheaper in Diagon Alley." Catherine informed her best friend matter-of-factly. Not that either her family or Cecelia's really struggled with money - much on the contrary. Maybe it didn't matter so much then. "Unless you really want to wear it now." She added with a shrug. And would auntie Ella let Cecelia get said jersey? "I don't think she'd mind." Now, did Catherine want one too? Mmmmm....... she did consider it for a brief moment, but no, thanks. The person at the stand looked like they didn't wash their hands after going to the toilet. |
And jack roller Quote:
She spoke first, and Maxie nodded and nodded like a little bobble head. "Y-yes." He said, unaware one of the omnioculars he'd so carefully picked out for his family had been so easily snatched away. "Y-yeah." The Hufflepuff added for a little extra punctuation. Point made, the thirteen-year-old fully expected the curly-haired girl to turn on her heel and walk right away. It wasn't like he had anything more to offer her conversation wise and there was very much to see, and eat, and do. Maxie cleared his throat, rearranging his bags with a careful purpose. |
Quote:
"I mean, kinda? But what is football over here, Americans call soccer. They have a different game for football. Baseball though is ... there's something magical that happens at a baseball game..." Louise trailed off thinking about the hot dogs and supersized sodas. "It's just ... something to see. The team in Atlanta is my favorite." |
SPOILER!!: hello again Mia cringed at the humidity. She did not want to know what that would do to her hair, but man would she love to check out this party. "That sounds like a lot of fun! Minus the humidity..." A different game for football? Why would they change it? That just sounds to complicated..."Baseball is pretty great, although that is more my dad's game than mine. I can't say I have a favorite team." Mia smiled at Louise. Before Mia knew it it was her turn in line and she grabbed her curry. She truly was hungry and couldn't wait to get over to the game. Mia turned to Louise, "Who are you rooting for today? I'm partial to England so this friendship may be over before it's had the chance to start if you say India." She laughed. Of course she was only teasing. Mostly. |
haha okay then Quote:
“Whatever gave you that idea?,” she drawled as she heard the voice coming from near her. The scruffy guy’s next question only received an arched eyebrow in response. “Firstly, I wouldn’t let that get anywhere near me, even if someone paid me. Second…just no.” He wasn’t her type. Oh, and she’d seen that little sleight of hand moment. Not that she planned on saying anything. |
SPOILER!!: Conley! <3 Sachin was pleased. He liked that Conley was open to trying new foods. Then again, with the jobs they held respectively, it came with the territory. Travelling to various countries at times definitely warranted for them to eat new foods. He himself was quite used to spicy foods, having grown up eating them. And he was careful not to let his rosette get dirty. Sachin smiled his thanks at Conley. If the man said he looked great, then he did. “Yes, that’s a good idea.” Part of him hoped the match would last a really long time while the other part just wanted it to be a short but really competitive match. Sachin glanced towards the Meet and Greet tent. There was still a crowd there. “Let’s find our seats.’’ The Ambassador was now very occupied with eating the naan. |
Text Cut: Sachin :-* Conley watched Sachin devouring the spicy cheese bread stuff and smiled. The man did love his food. ”Let’s grab something to eat later in the stands,” he said walking past one more stall. ”Then we can get our seats. Don’t want to miss any part of England’s win. I want to lord it over you while we’re eating Escargots a la Bourguignonne.” Part of him hoped that India would win. He’d be interested to see what and where Sachin would want to go for his dinner. He stopped at a stand, bought a couple of veggie pasties (to be on the safe side since Sachin didn’t eat beef). ”Alright,” he said finishing off the slice of nann in his hand. ”Let’s head up, I think we have a long climb ahead of us.” |
